NEWS/04.09.2009 Mr. Ri Yong Son visited St.Petersburg

On September 2, 2009 International Taekwon-Do Federation Executive Director General Mr. Ri Yong Son arrived to St.Petersburg to carry out his inspection of readyness for the 16th World Taekwon-do Championships.
The visit programme included visits to the Championships sites and various meetings.
Mr. Ri Yong Son together with St.Petersburg Taekwon-Do Federation President Master Mikhail Shmelev and the ITF representative Master Kim Yong Hun visited the Championships venue – the Yubilejny Sports Copmplex as well as basic hotels of the Championships.
On September 4, 2009 Mr. Ri Yong Son had a meeting with the Organising Committee members.

They discussed key issues, such as visa support, transport, accommodation, facilities for participants and VIPs, press centre, TV coverage.
Special attention was paid to the ITF Congress to be held during the World Championships in St.Petersburg and Umpire’s work.
Mr. Ri Yong Son expressed satisfaction with what he had seen and wished the organisers success in completion of their preparation for the World Championships.
