NEWS/25.05.2009 Invitation deadline reminder

Dear Sirs,
Let us remind you of the deadline for submitting your applications for invitation, please. It should be done before July 10, 2009.
Countries in need of Russian visa should contact the nearest Russian Consulate and find out about the visa requirements as they vary depending on the country where the visa is being issued. We would advise that you do that well in advance of your trip as it might take much time.
There are two ways to obtain your invitation:

1) According to the agreement between Russia and some EU countries, if you are a citizen of a country listed below you are not required to have an official invitation issued by the Russian Federal Migration Service. All you need is an invitation from our organisation on a letterhead paper inviting you to the Championships (for a short stay, single entry, purpose – sports relations) as well as hotel voucher (if required). It makes the whole procedure faster and easier. These countries are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Sweden, Estonia. Please check this information with your local Russian Consulate.
2) If you are not a citizen of a country listed above you could anyway check this information. If you still need an official invitation issued by the Russian Federal Migration Service, please take into consideration it will take one month to obtain it after we have received your application + time for its delivery by post (we can use DHL if you confirm you pay delivery cost). Purpose of your trip is sports relations.
3) No matter citizen of what country you are, you can submit your documents as a tourist, and write down purpose of your trip as tourism. In this case the Organising Committee will send you hotel voucher required for your touristic visa. It also makes the whole procedure faster and easier.

Regardless of invitation type you need please complete downloadable Invitation Form (http://www.taekwondo2009.com/download.htm) and send it with your passport copy as soon as possible to the Organising Committee before July 10, 2009 by fax: +7 812 335 29 98 or e-mail
