The World Championships will be held on
October 12-17, 2009.
Please observe the following arrival requirements:
For registration, accreditation and payments you have to come to the
Meeting Point at MOSCOW Hotel (2, Alexandre Nevsky sq. (“Ploshchad
Alexandra Nevskogo” metro station, 4th line)
- on October 10, 2009 till 10.00 p.m. for Seminars participants
- on October 11 or 12, 2009 till 10.00 p.m. for all Championships
participants (competitors, coaches, officials, etc.)
Those countries/individuals arriving before these dates are required
to advise the Organising Committee of that BEFOREHAND.
Members of the Organising Committee will meet the delegations arriving
in the city and take them to the Meeting point at MOSCOW Hotel for
registration, accreditation and payments and further to their hotels.
Transportation will be provided by the Organising Committee on condition
of advance notice.
There will be no transfers for the countries not booking their accommodation
through the Organising Committee. In that case they have to come to
the Meeting point on their own according to the schedule.
N.B. Accreditation and registration will be completed for
ALL at 10.00 p.m. on October 12, 2009.
Terms of participation
National Governing Bodies affiliated with
the International Taekwon-do Federation only can participate in these
Championships. A country which is not affiliated with the ITF but
wishing to take part in the Championships will need approval from
the ITF headquarters.
Competitors
For participation in the World Championships
competitors must be ITF Black Belt holders of 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th
Degree, aged 18 to 39 at the beginning of competition (October 14,
2009).
All competitors must submit their ITF Black Belt Degree Certificates,
National Passports and Medical Certificates proving their physical
and mental fitness for participation in the Championships. Each competitor
must have full insurance coverage for any eventuality.
Organising Committee will take no resposibility for injuries or losses
before, during and after the Championships.
Black belt holders who have not been registered with the ITF yet,
though belong to National Governing Bodies affiliated with the International
Taekwon-do Federation will need approval from the Tournament and Umpire
Committees for participation in the World Championships. In that case
the ITF headquarters as well as the Tournament and Umpire Committees
may accept or decline their entries without giving any reasons.
Coaches
There will be a limit on the number of
coach accreditation per country. A maximum of 4 coaches per country
is allowed.
One coach only will be allowed per competitor
on the ring at one time. Coaches only are allowed to make official
protests.
Umpires
The Organising Committee will pay for
“B” package accommodation from October 13 to October 18, 2009 (6 days/5
nights) of one Umpire per participating country, having gone through
the Umpires Seminar as well as all the meetings prior to the Championships
and allowed to referee the competition.
Other Umpires wishing to participate in the Championships will pay
for their accommodation and meals themselves according to the packages.
All Umpires/Referees will get «B» Package Accommodation. They will
stay at a separate hotel with 3 meals a day.
The Umpires must attend all the Umpires meetings scheduled for the
period of the Championships.
Prior to the Championships the International Taekwon-do Federation
will give a Technical & Umpires seminar as well as a Masters seminar
from October 11 to October 13, 2009. Information on the seminars will
be sent by the ITF. Please contact the ITF headquarters for details.
Officials
The Head of the delegation (Team Manager)
authorized by the National Governing Body President presents his/her
country at the Championships.
• The Team Manager only can present his/her delegation members at
the registration, submit documents, cooperate with the Organising
Committee and other officials.
• The Team Manager is responsible for all the members of his/her delegation
during their stay in St. Petersburg. His/her responsibility includes
checking correspondence between the arrival/departure dates, visas
and length of desired stay in Russia as well as making all the payments
at registration and final payments before departure.
The ITF Congress will take place on Tuesday,
October 13, 2009.
All the officials arriving for the ITF Congress must come to the Meeting
Point at MOSCOW Hotel not later than 10.00 p.m. on October 12, 2009.
Only three delegates per National Governing Boby will be allowed to
attend the ITF Congress.
All the delegates will have to pay their accommodation and meals
themselves according to the hotel accommodation packages arranged
by the Organising Committee.
N.B. Delegates of the Congress must observe the same requirements
as Championships participants, such as deadlines, money deposit, completing
the forms, etc.

The originals of forms signed by Presidents of the National Governing
Bodies must be posted to the Organising Committee and received before
September 10, 2009. Please keep in mind delivery time depending
